((includes name change))
Name: Atum Vance
Age: 20
Rank: Jedi Master
Class: Jedi Guardian
Homeworld: Tatooine
Species: Tusken Raider/Human
Appearance: 5'11" tall; wears traditional Tusken Raider headdress with traditional Jedi robes

Bio: Atum Vance was born on Tatooine's Anchorhead. His family owned a moisture farm just outside the city. Atum's father frequented the cantinas of Anchorhead, Mos Espa, and Mos Eisley playing pazaak to try to earn more money for his family by gambling. His father, however, became caught up in the cantina scene and began drinking heavily, claiming each drink was to celebrate his pazaak victories. Soon, he found his win streak drift away and fell into debt. Unfortunately, his debt was to a slave trader. The slave trader took Atum's father into slavery and Atum and his mother fled the city in order to escape the slave traders.
Atum and his mother were caught by the Sand People in their short travel across the Dune Sea toward their moisture farm. It is unknown exactly how, but they were accepted by the Sand People and Atem soon recieved the highest honor of Chieftain. He changed his name, to further embrace his new culture, to Kerroz Yann. Atum served for two years as Chieftain of the Sand People. From age 16 to age 18, Atum brought peace between the Jawas and Sand People. He left after his second year to seek training in the Force; his reason for such desire to learn the Force is unknown. When he left, unknown to Atum, his mother was executed as the mother of a traitor and the Sand People's truce with the Jawas ended.
Several months of searching for the Jedi, Atum stumbled upon the Jedi Lyttle, who eventually trained him. It was two years of training under many Jedi Knights and Masters before he rose to the ranks of Jedi Knight to train several others. Atum had trained several pupils, most of which gave in to the Dark Side, but Atum stayed his course on the path of the Light. He helped in the defense of Yavin 4's Jedi Academy, though it nearly cost him his life, along with other quick battles against Sith desperate to prove themselves in the Sith Order. It had been two years since he left the desert world of Tatooine and began his journey to become a Jedi. He now holds the rank of Jedi Master and taken back his name of Atum Vance, wearing the traditional headdress of the Tuskens and the traditional robes of the Jedi to honor both aspects of his life: stuggle and the overcoming of adversity sent by the evil of the Dark Side.
