((This is simply a repost of a post I made on JS. It is here for reference))
Dooku's flagship, a custom variation of the standard Imperial Super Star Destroyer, exited hyperspace and assumed a low-orbit around the planet Ord Cestus. Below it, the capital city of ChikatLik was obscured by one of the dust storms that frequently occured. From the hanger of the "SSD", a lone naboo starfighter headed toward the city, disappearing inside the maelstrom of dust.
Dooku piloted the starfighter down to the planets surface and into one of the tunnels that had been created by volcanic activity, water erosion, and digging by the X'Ting hives. He set the ship down on one of the platforms and popped the canopy, stepping out onto the duracrete platform. A single insectoid Cestian stood near the pads edge, waiting to guide him to the board of governors. As Dooku approaced it, the insect croaked...
"Lord Dooku, the governors are expecting you. Please follow me."
Dooku nodded an acknowledgement and followed the droid through the tunnels. It was only a short walk to the palace, which was carved out of the tunnel walls. Dooku was immediatly taken to a meeting room, where all 12 of the governors were waiting. Dooku began simply...
"Governors of Cestus, I bring you a... buisness proposition. I have recently learned of the Bio-Droid program Cestus Cybernetics used to fund. According to my information, it was discontinued under pressure from the Republic during the clone wars. I am going to re-initiate that program. In addition, I am going to assume direct control of the Cestus government."
Dooku knew what kind of effect this would have. The governors all began shouting at him, several stood up and pointed fingers, but Dooku ignored all of this. He casually held up a holoprojector and activated it. A 3-dimentional projection of the Unyielding Doom appeared - Dooku's mobile command and control center. It was shaped like a mushroom, with a large domed top and a "stalk" that ended in an opening. Dooku adressed the governors again, who had fallen silent...
"This is the Unyeilding Doom. It boasts a formidable arsenal, including a Scalpel-Grade Superlaser. If you care at all about the welfare of your people, you will accept my demands and sign a treaty of submission. If you do not, your planet will cease to exist."
The governors glared at him as they attempted to find a way out of the situation. Dooku knew what conclusion they would come to, so he activated a second hologram, this one showing a fleet of 200 core ships exiting hyperspace and spreading around the planet. Thousands of dropships streamed from their hangers, heading toward every city on Cestus.
"Surrender now, and none of your people will be harmed. Order all security forces to stand down."
One of the governors reached into a drawer on his desk and pulled out a small holdout blaster. As he attempted to bring it to bear on Dooku, his eyes bulged, and he grasped at his throught. The other governors stared at him, too stunned to move. The insect gave a final gasp, and Dooku lowered his hand. The former governor fell into a crumpled heap.
"I hope none of you will attempt to resist as this one did. It will only waste your insignificant lives."
Dooku pulled out the treaty he had been holding in his cloak and set it on the desk of the nearest governor.
"Order all security forces to stand down NOW. Then you all will sign the treaty and our buisness will be concluded."
One of the governors keyed in a code on his commlink and gave a short message to the troops that they were to surrender. Then he slowly signed the treaty. The others followed suit. Dooku took the treaty and put it back into his cloak, then looked at them all and said...
"Thank you gentlemen. Our buisness here is finished."
Dooku strode from the governors building, and watched as a platoon of droids led several security guards down the street. Dooku smiled. The first stage of his plan was now complete. He now only needed to have factories constructed, and bio-droids manufactured. He continued on back toward the hanger, intending to comm his flagship and get a group of Slicer droids sent to accompany him to Cestus Cybernetics and retrieve their files on the bio-droids.
